Anita Canter was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1940. She wrote this story and others while at college and read them on Danish radio. Anita works as a psychotherapist in Liverpool, where she lives with her husband Philip. Her memoir, Tailors on Both Sides, was published by Tollington in 2010.

Lynne Kersh was born in Wigan in 1942 and educated in Southport and at the Liverpool College of Art, where she studied fashion design during the vibrant 1960s. Lynne has five grandchildren and lives with her husband Stewart in Cheshire.
