Brucevillea novel by Robyn Vinten |
|||||
Three old friends, one wedding, too many secrets...In a farmhouse in New Zealand, Petra pulls out a hidden box and leafs through its contents as she waits nervously for two old schoolfriends to arrive for her wedding. Sandy now photographs the gender outlaws of London, while athlete Claire has run all the way from Bruceville to the Olympics. A lot has changed since the three of them last met, but their intense reunion will stir up memories that refuse to go back in the box. 'With great sureness of touch, Robyn Vinten brings her characters and their smalltown setting brilliantly and disturbingly to life. Bruceville is a devastating yet thoroughly satisfying story, exploring the secrets and lies within families and friendships. I loved it!' —VG Lee
